About The Website (Aug ’13)
I am starting this blog because of the love for food and being a chef in the comfort of my own dear kitchen. Other than that, my hubby has gotten a posting to the the United States of America (for the next 2 years in Nov) and because I will have too much time on my hand (since I am going there to be a lady of leisure), I might as well do something that I love and that is to chronicle my adventures in my kitchen and our family’s delightful food hunts to savour the best steak, sip on the smoothest latte and to finish off with the most tantalizing dessert. Arrr…. Just the thought of it, just absolutely fizzes my brain and I am wondering why is November ’13 taking so long to come (it seems to be taking forever).
About the Author
I am Ange and a mother of 2 very fine and handsome boys. I only learnt how to cook properly at an old age of 24 when my hubby was posted to Australia for 2 years during 2007. Eating out was expensive and looking out for the Chinese food fare was an even tougher option with the taste being not too right or way too salty. Moreover with 2 young kids (2 years and 6 months respectively) in tow then, what could be a better option than home cook food. Nevertheless, I never knew that I will fall in love with cooking and baking. My greatest inspiration comes from my family especially my 2 boys. Looking at them, woof down their food, smile and swooning me with their approvals and ‘unreasonable demands’ have never left me more than happy and grinning from ear to ear looking silly.
Now that I am given another chance to travel with my hubby to Idaho (Mountain Home), I am even more than determined to make good use of this time to further hone my culinary and pastry skills. And also to travel around looking for good eats to share with you guys.
